Clarissa D Booth
Clarissa Booth, M.S. is a Research Supervisor at Sanford Research in Sioux Falls, SD, working in the laboratory of Dr. Jill Weimer. Her research centers on lysosomal storage disorders, with a particular focus on therapeutic development and high-throughput screening strategies, including in vivo modeling to evaluate efficacy and safety. Clarissa is also actively involved in developing translational tools that bridge preclinical findings with clinical relevance. She holds a master’s degree in neuroscience, where her research explored the molecular mechanisms & treatment of stress and anxiety. Her current work aims to accelerate the discovery of effective treatments for neurodegenerative diseases such as Batten disease.
