Stephan Storch
I am a group leader in the Pediatric Research of the University Medical Center Hamburg Eppendorf, Germany. I studied Chemistry at the University of Mainz and did my PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Göttingen in the lab of Kurt von Figura. I then moved to Hamburg as a Post-Doc in Thomas Braulke’s lab and became an independent group leader. My focus is on intracellular trafficking of NCL proteins, impact of CLN3- and CLN7-patient mutations on subcellular localization, turnover and function of the gene products, lysosomal proteomics, and phenotypic analyses of NCL mouse models, including CLN6- and CLN7-deficient mice.
