Samantha Murray International Congress on Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinoses 2025

Samantha Murray

Samantha Murray, PhD, is a member of the Batten disease research group at Lincoln University, New Zealand. Her research focuses on refining gene therapies for NCL using naturally occurring sheep models of CLN5 and CLN6 disease. Samantha leads the group’s ocular gene therapy and MRI monitoring programs and is particularly interested in advancing translational approaches that bridge laboratory findings to clinical application. More recently, her work has expanded to investigate how disease pathology manifests outside the central nervous system, especially in animals that have been successfully treated and are now living well beyond their normal life expectancy. She is looking forward to connecting with fellow researchers and families affected by NCL at the upcoming conference to share insights, foster collaborations, and learn from the wider community.
