Catherine O. Jordan

Catherine (Cate) Jordan, MD, completed her medical degree and residency at Ohio State University and her fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She served as chief resident of Ophthalmology at Ohio State University Havener Eye Institute for the 2010-2011 academic year. Dr. Jordan is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Ohio State University and a member of the Medical Staff at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She is actively involved in clinical research as the Co-Director of Pediatric Ophthalmology Research at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and in the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group (PEDIG). In 2023, she completed a Leadership Development Program through PEDIG and is now on the Executive Committee for PEDIG. Dr. Jordan is board-certified in ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (AAPOS). She is a former Director-at-Large for the AAPOS Board of Directors and is now participating in the American Academy of Ophthalmology Leadership Development Program. Dr. Jordan’s clinical and research interests include Batten's Disease, retinopathy of prematurity, pediatric cataracts, amblyopia, strabismus, and optic nerve pathology.
